Hello! My name is Samantha Snyder. I am the Research Librarian and Manager of the Library Research Fellowship Program at George Washington's Mount Vernon and an historian of early American women.

My favorite ways to pass the time are spending far too many hours reading (and transcribing!) people's letters, and filling my brain with oddly specific facts about George Washington and his many friends and connections (the Powels included, of course). And listening to Hamilton the Musical... because what early American historian doesn't love Hamilton?
